Job summary

Charlie''s Produce in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a full-time Local CDL Driver to deliver produce safely and efficiently throughout the Greater Los Angeles area. You will check invoices, unload with pallet jack, and provide superior customer service during each delivery.

This role requires early-morning shifts, weekends and holidays, and a valid Class A CDL. We offer an amazing culture and benefits including medical/dental/vision, 401(k) and tuition assistance, with pay of $28–$30 per hour

Qualifications

• Be 23 yrs or older due to insurance requirements.
• 1+ year of driving experience.
• Valid Class A CDL and medical card Interstate qualification.
• Demonstrated ability to lift/push/pull 50+ lbs.
• Per DOT rules, applicant should have the ability to read and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Local delivery of produce items daily in 53' tractor trailer.
• Accurately check invoices as you make deliveries.
• Palletized product will be delivered to customers with hand truck or electric pallet jack.
• Attention to detail in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
• Perform superior customer service as you interact with customers at each delivery.
• All other duties as requested or assigned.

Job Description

The Role

You will be primarily responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of produce to customers throughout the Greater Los Angeles area.

Schedule: Days, early morning hours, full-time, split days off, includes weekends and holidays.

• Local delivery of produce items daily in 53' tractor trailer.
• Accurately check invoices as you make deliveries.
• Palletized product will be delivered to customers with hand truck or electric pallet jack.
• Attention to detail in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
• Perform superior customer service as you interact with customers at each delivery.
• Assist in issuing digital credit memos and collecting payment for COD customers.
• Promote and maintain a flexible, cooperative, team-oriented, and customer-focused attitude with colleagues.
• All other duties as requested or assigned.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of driving experience
• Valid Class A CDL and medical card Interstate qualification, registered
• Demonstrated ability to lift/push/pull 50+ lbs. throughout shift
• Per DOT rules, applicant should have the ability to read and understand English
