The Opportunity

We seek an experienced Class A Driver for local pickup and delivery within the area. The role involves transporting freight between customer locations and terminals, with a focus on customer service and safety. Drivers will return home daily with consistent schedules.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Transport and deliver freight to customers and terminals in the assigned region.
• Interact professionally with customers to ensure delivery satisfaction.
• Complete delivery paperwork accurately, including bills of lading and proof of delivery.
• Follow all safety protocols, including vehicle inspections and DOT regulations.
• Assist with loading and unloading freight using appropriate equipment.
• Maintain clear communication with dispatch regarding delays, issues, or route changes.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

• At least 1 year of Class A driving experience.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid Class A CDL with no restrictions.
• Endorsements such as Hazmat, Tanker, Doubles/Triples (or willingness to obtain within 90 days).
• Clean driving record.
• Ability to pass background check and DOT drug screening.

Work Environment

This is a full-time, at-will position with variable hours. Drivers benefit from consistent local routes and daily home time.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, carry, and move loads up to 50 pounds or more multiple times daily.
• Capability to push and pull products, sometimes with assistance, up to 2500 pounds.
• Frequent standing and walking at various locations.
• Regular bending, kneeling, and crouching for cargo handling.
• Ability to sit for long hours and work extended shifts.
• Work in various weather conditions, adjusting practices for safety.
