Job summary

Bunzl Distribution NA is hiring a Class A CDL driver to safely operate tractors and trailers serving customers near Kansas City. The role includes pre-trip inspections, timely deliveries, and strict adherence to safety and DOT regulations.

The driver will maintain logs, manage cargo, and provide excellent customer service while upholding Bunzl's standards. We offer competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL is required.
• A clean driving record per fleet safety standards.
• Ability to operate and navigate a variety of commercial vehicles.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and perform loading/unloading.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and ELD compliance.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive a Class A tractor-trailer or other commercial vehicles.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Deliver goods locally and long-distance to customer locations.
• Adhere to traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Maintain a clean driving record and timely logs/paperwork.
• Manage cargo loading/unloading and ensure items are secured.
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries.
• Report vehicle issues to management promptly.

Class A CDL | M-F |$28.50/hr. | Located near KC Airport At Bunzl, we consider our Drivers as the heart of our business, serving as both ambassadors for the company and the key point of contact with our customers. A Day in the Life :

• Safely drive and operate a Class A tractor-trailer or other commercial vehicles.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
• Deliver goods in a timely and safe manner to customer locations, both local and long-distance.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Maintain a clean driving record and ensure timely submission of logs and paperwork.
• Manage cargo loading/unloading, ensuring items are safely secured.
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries.
• Ensure the vehicle is properly maintained, reporting any issues to management immediately.

The Must-Haves :

• Valid Class A CDL.
• A clean driving record, based on our fleet safety standards.
• Ability to operate and navigate a variety of commercial vehicles.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and handle loading/unloading responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and best driving practices.
• Excellent communication and time-management skills.
• Ability to pass background check, drug tests, and maintain an active medical card.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and ELD compliance

What We Prefer :

• At least 2 years of Driving experience.
• Experience with GPS and routing software.
