Job summary

Economy Transportation & Logistics is hiring an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to service and maintain our fleet of Class A commercial diesel vehicles, trailers, and equipment at our Houston, TX facility.

This full-time W2 position offers weekly pay, on-site shop with field support, and benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage. Ideal candidates have 5+ years of diesel experience, CDL class A preferred, and ability to work independently or with the team to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic for Class A commercial vehicles.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines and trailer systems.
• Experience with 10, 13, and 18-speed manual transmissions.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and perform repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on Class A diesel trucks and trailers.
• Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, electrical systems, and air systems.
• Ensure equipment meets DOT and safety compliance standards.
• Complete accurate maintenance records and inspections.
• Perform roadside or field repairs as needed.
• Work closely with operations and dispatch to minimize downtime.
