Job summary

Ecowaste Solutions in Tyler, TX is seeking a Diesel Truck/Trailer Maintenance Mechanic for full-time work. The role involves preventative maintenance and repairs on tractor and trailer equipment, with emphasis on accurate work orders, warranty processes, and safety compliance.

Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, troubleshooting fleet equipment, and maintaining tools and parts. A CDL is preferred, with experience or tech school credentials in heavy-duty maintenance.

Qualifications

• CDL license preferred.
• Experience in tractor and trailer inspection and repair or a technical school degree/certification in Heavy Duty Truck/Trailer Maintenance with Diesel specialty.
• Experience in advanced diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair fleet equipment safely and correctly.
• Conduct failure analysis, repairs, and rebuilds fleet equipment components correctly.
• Inform management about unsafe conditions and suggest corrective actions.
• Identify missing supplies and defective tools and take steps to resolve.
• Complete complex work orders with proper condition, cause, and correction descriptions, including warranty returns when needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and comply with company policies.
