Job summary

Charlie’s Produce in Los Angeles is seeking a Delivery Driver to ensure safe, efficient produce deliveries across the Greater Los Angeles area, averaging 10–15 stops per route. Shifts are day/early morning, with start times around 1:30am to 3:30am; weekend or holidays may be required.

Valid Class A CDL and medical card are required. We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision, ESOP and 401(k), paid time off, and tuition assistance; compensation is $28.00–$30.00 per hour,

Qualifications

• Must be 23 years or older due to insurance requirements.
• At least 1 year of driving experience preferred.
• Valid Class A CDL and medical card.
• Ability to lift/push/pull 50+ lbs.
• DOT rules require ability to read and understand English.
• Previous delivery driver experience in food/beverage preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver produce safely and efficiently to customers across the Greater Los Angeles area; average 10–15 stops per route.
• Check invoices as you make deliveries with accuracy.
• Deliver palletized products using a hand truck.
• Provide superior customer service during each delivery.
• Assist in issuing credit memos and collecting COD payments.
• Promote a cooperative, customer-focused attitude with colleagues.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Description

The Role

The Delivery Driver will be primarily responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of produce to customers throughout the Greater Los Angeles area, average 10-15 stops per route.

ShiftisDay/ early morning hours, must be able to work weekends and or holidays as needed.

Start times: Variedaverage 1:30am - 3:30am

• Accurately check invoices as you make deliveries.
• Palletized product will be delivered to customers with hand truck.
• Attention to detail in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
• Perform superior customer service as you interact with customers at each delivery.
• Assist in issuing credit memos and collecting payment for COD customers.
• Promote and maintain a flexible, cooperative, team-oriented, and customer-focused attitude with colleagues.
• All other duties as requested or assigned.

Qualifications

• Be 23 yrs. or older due to insurance requirements.
• 1+ year of driving experience highly preferred.
• Valid Class A CDL and medical card Interstate qualification, registered.
• Demonstrated ability to lift/push/pull 50+ lbs. throughout shift.
• Per DOT rules, applicant should have the ability to read and understand English.
• Previous Delivery Driver Experience - food and beverage experience preferred!
