Job summary

Looking for someone highly motivated and dedicated! We are in search of a Licensed "A" CDL driver with current driving of 2 years or more. Must be able to work weekends with 2 consecutive days off during the week. Hours are mainly 6-4. Overtime paid after 40 hours each week.

Duties

• Safely operate commercial vehicles such as non-hazmat tanker/trailers and or roll off dumpster trucks.
• Follow all traffic laws, vehicle codes, transportation safety regulations, and emergency response procedures for transportation
• Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle mechanical safety and report any issues promptly
• Respond quickly to traffic changes or unexpected situations with defensive driving techniques and quick decision-making skill
• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with appropriate air and tanker endorsements.
• Proven 2 years or more experience in vehicle operation and at least 25 years of age.
• Knowledge of traffic laws, vehicle codes, state and local commercial driving laws, and transportation safety regulations
• Ability to perform heavy lifting when required
• First aid certification (including CPR) and familiarity with emergency stop procedures and emergency response protocols for transportation
• Strong communication skills in English
• Mechanical knowledge for basic vehicle troubleshooting; ability to perform routine inspections and maintenance checks
• Ability to respond swiftly to traffic changes or emergencies
