Job summary

Advantage Truck Group (ATG) is seeking an experienced Body Shop Technician to perform high-quality collision repairs, refinishing prep, and structural corrections on Class A commercial vehicles. A minimum of two years in automotive or commercial collision repair is required; CDL is advantageous but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of professional automotive or commercial collision repair experience.
• Proficiency in general collision repair; refinishing prep or structural frame correction is a strong plus.
• Valid driver's license; CDL preferred but not mandatory.
• Ability to operate heavy shop machinery and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Collision Repair: Execute precise vehicle repairs in strict accordance with estimation sheets and manufacturer guidelines.
• Quality Control: Inspect delivered parts against estimates to verify accuracy and ensure all necessary components are present.
• Vehicle Preparation: Prepare vehicle surfaces, structures, and panels thoroughly for upcoming body and refinishing work.
• Damage Assessment: Identify and report hidden damage or necessary supplemental repairs to management immediately.
• Timeline Management: Communicate production delays, technical challenges, or timeline changes proactively to the shop manager.
• Equipment Maintenance: Keep all shop tools, machinery, and specialty repair equipment clean, organized, and properly maintained.
• Safety Compliance: Wear and maintain all required PPE, including properly fitted respirators.
• Regulatory Adherence: Follow all local, state, and federal regulations regarding hazardous waste disposal, EPA standards, and OSHA guidelines.
• Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with painters, preppers, and other technicians to optimize shop workflow and efficiency.
