Job summary

PITT OHIO Express LLC seeks a Class A City Driver for our McCook, IL location. You will operate a tractor-trailer to efficiently pick up and deliver general freight, with required safety and regulatory compliance.

Overtime begins after 40 hours, and top rate increases after six months. The role requires valid CDL-A, two years interstate driving or one year with approved training, and Haz-Mat/Tanker endorsements within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Two years of verifiable interstate driving experience, or one year with approved driving school diploma.
• Haz-Mat and Tanker endorsements required within 90 days (where applicable).
• Must read/write English and perform basic math.

Responsibilities

• Drive a commercial vehicle safely to pickup and deliver general freight.
• Load and unload trailer; use mechanical freight handling equipment where available.
• Perform frequent lifting, pulling, pushing and carrying of freight.
• Secure freight by strapping or other methods as required.
• Inspect vehicle for defects and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Maintain driver logs and required records for state/federal rules.
