Job summary

PITT OHIO in Latham, NY is hiring a Class A City Driver to safely pick up and deliver general freight, load/unload, and secure cargo in accordance with federal and company policies.

Applicants must have two years of verifiable interstate driving experience (or one year with an approved diploma), pass a Pitt Ohio driving test, hold a valid license with Haz-Mat/Tanker endorsements within 90 days, complete a DOT physical and pre-employment drug screen, and consent to drug testing.

Qualifications

• Two years of verifiable interstate driving experience or one year with a Pitt Ohio-approved diploma.
• Must pass Pitt Ohio driving test.
• Haz-Mat and Tanker endorsements within 90 days of employment.
• Valid driver’s license from resident state.
• No suspensions/major violations in 36 months.

Responsibilities

• Drive a commercial vehicle safely while picking up and delivering general freight.
• Load and unload trailer as needed, using equipment when available.
• Inspect vehicle and comply with federal/state regulations for safe operation.
• Maintain records for regulatory compliance (logs, etc).
• Adhere to company policies and federal, state and local regulations.
