Qualifications

• Two years of verifiable interstate driving experience or one year with a diploma from Pitt OHIO approved driving school.
• Must pass Pitt OHIO driving test by approved trainer.
• Must obtain Haz-Mat and Tanker endorsement within 90 days (unless sprinter).
• Must hold only one valid license from resident state; provide history of licenses in past 36 months.
• No recent license suspensions or serious traffic violations as defined by MVR policy.

Responsibilities

• Drive a commercial vehicle safely while picking up and delivering general freight.
• Load and unload trailer; use mechanical freight handling equipment when available.
• Perform frequent lifting, pulling, pushing, and carrying of freight.
• Secure freight as required; inspect vehicle for defects and compliance with regulations.
• Maintain driver logs and records in accordance with state and federal regulations.
• Operate in compliance with DOT and company policies for safe transport.
