Job summary

PITT OHIO is seeking a Class A City Driver at our McCook, IL location to move general freight safely and reliably. You’ll operate a tractor-trailer, perform loading/unloading, and maintain accurate records in line with DOT and company policies.

The role offers competitive pay with immediate overtime after 40 hours and a top-rate after six months, plus excellent benefits and modern facilities.

Qualifications

• Two years of verifiable interstate driving experience, or one year with a Pitt Ohio–approved driving school diploma.
• Must pass a Pitt Ohio driving test.
• Haz-Mat and Tanker endorsements within 90 days for non-sprinter drivers.
• One valid license; disclose prior licenses within 36 months.
• No long-term MVR suspensions or serious violations in the past 60 months.

Responsibilities

• Drive a commercial vehicle safely delivering general freight.
• Load and unload trailer with or without dockworkers.
• Perform lifting, pulling, pushing and securing freight.
• Inspect vehicle for defects and safety as required by law.
• Maintain logs/records in compliance with regulations.
