Job summary

CMC is seeking a Class A CDL driver to deliver products to customers, contractors, and jobsites within the region and ensure safe, compliant transportation. You will perform pre-trip inspections, load securement, and document deliveries, while following all safety rules and DOT regulations.

The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of tractor-trailer experience, a valid Class A CDL, and the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Training on ELDs and safety cameras is provided.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal communication and listening skills.
• Ability to speak and understand English language in verbal communication.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively while giving and receiving feedback.
• Working knowledge of DOT regulations and requirements.

Responsibilities

• Complete delivery paperwork and communicate load or timing issues with dispatch, sales, and customers.
• Conduct daily pre-trip, inter-trip, and post trip inspections of truck and cargo.
• Deliver products to customers, contractors, and jobsites within the region.
• Follow all safety rules and always wear required PPE.
• Inventory and inspect products to confirm quantity and condition.
• Load, secure, and deliver cargo safely and on time; maintain vehicle service and repair logs in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Operate vehicles using Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) and safety dashcams (training provided).
• Perform loading tasks including chaining, strapping, tarping, trailer hooking/unhooking, use of sideboard kits and safely ascending/descending of truck and/or trailer.
• Perform additional duties to ensure safe, compliant transportation per federal and state safety regulations.
• Work flexible hours and be available based on business needs.
