Job summary

Garpiel Group in Saginaw, Michigan is seeking a full-time Class A CDL Driver for our landscape division. You will transport materials, load/unload, and operate heavy equipment while following safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age
• Have a valid Class A CDL
• Must have a valid DOT medical card
• Experience operating 18-speed transmissions preferred
• Must be able to operate a CMV with a manual transmission
• Must have experience hauling and operating track loaders and excavators
• Must have experience operating heavy loaders
• Must have a clean driving record

Responsibilities

• Hauling materials in and out of job sites
• Taking materials to the dump
• Moving machinery from job site to job site
• Review load list and visually check skids, carts and pallets to be loaded
• Determine trailer space versus material to be loaded for proper load distribution
• Load and unload trucks and check weight
• Secure load to prevent damage and shifting
• Upon completion of loading, distribute all necessary paperwork
• Ability to safely and efficiently operate and upkeep minimal maintenance on all equipment
• Upholds to all safety standards, at all times
• All other duties as assigned

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Truck Driver will be responsible for transporting as well as loading and unloading material and equipment.
