You will load, unload, and transport cylinders using a company tractor-trailer, performing pre-trip inspections and maintaining professional customer relationships.

The role emphasizes a physical, hands-on schedule with ownership of deliveries on customer properties.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with Hazmat (or ability to obtain within 60 days) and Airbrake endorsements.
• Maintain a valid driver’s license, medical card, and required endorsements.
• No more than two traffic convictions or at-fault accidents in the last 3 years.
• Ability to lift 75 lbs and move more than 125 lbs with equipment.
• One year of CDL driving experience in the last 5 years or a recent trucking school certificate.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and unload compressed gas cylinders to Airgas branches and customers using a tractor-trailer.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
• Load and unload daily; secure cylinders safely and professionally.
• Maintain courteous relationships with customers and ensure timely deliveries.
• Operate in a drug-free environment and comply with safety policies.

As a key representative of Airgas, the delivery driver contributes to the safe and efficient delivery of compressed gas cylinders to Airgas Branch's and Plants and customers using a company provided Tractor Trailer. This position involves loading, unloading, and returning compressed gas cylinders.

• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Load and unload the truck daily with gas cylinders & supplies
• Nurture courteous & professional relationships with customers
• Support deliveries in a timely manner
• Safely secure and unsecure cylinders
• Complete deliveries on customer property sites using a hand cart; we emphasize the physically active and hands‑on nature of this position.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Class A with HAZMAT (or able to obtain within 60 days from hire date) & Airbrake endorsements
• Maintain appropriate driver’s license, medical card & endorsements
• No more than two (2) traffic convictions: OR two (2) at-fault accident in the last 3 years; or no more than a combination of one (1) traffic conviction and one (1) at-fault accident in the last 3 years
• No driving while under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance within the last seven (7) years
• Must be able to work in a drug‑free environment
• Be able to regularly lift 75lbs and move more than 125lbs with the aid of material handling equipment
• Must have 1 year of CDL driving experience in the last 5 years or be able able to provide proof of a certificate of completion from trucking school completed in the last 12 months.
