Job summary

Clayton Homes is seeking a Class A CDL Driver – Toter Driver to safely move oversized and overweight loads to retail locations and accompany the shipments with proper regulatory paperwork. This is a full-time, on-site role with a focus on safety and efficiency.

The successful candidate will operate in coordination with Driver Supervisors and Escort Drivers, maintaining compliance with DOT regulations, while delivering world-class customer experiences during over-the-road and in-store deliveries.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class A CDL
• Demonstrates safety-first mindset and DOT compliance
• Ability to coordinate with supervisors and escort drivers

Responsibilities

• Safely transport oversized and overweight loads within the region.
• Safely operate and perform daily maintenance checks on equipment.
• Maintain proper paperwork and ensure regulatory compliance (DOT).
• Coordinate permits and load planning with Driver Supervisors and Escort Drivers.
• Arrange pick-up and delivery of scheduled oversized loads to retail locations.
• Provide route information and best practices to the oversized load team.
• Return completed delivery paperwork to the terminal promptly.
