Job summary

Airgas in Indianapolis is seeking a Class A CDL Route Driver to deliver compressed and liquid gas cylinders and related items along designated routes. You will collect empties, record transactions, sign for deliveries, and perform loading/unloading while conducting pre/post‑trip inspections.

The role requires Hazmat endorsement or the ability to obtain it within 60 days, and a commitment to safety and professional conduct.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have at least 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience within the last 5 years.
• Class A CDL.
• Must have HAZMAT endorsement or be able to obtain the endorsement within 60 days of being hired.
• DOT Clearinghouse verification from previous employers is required.
• Ability to routinely lift 25 – 75 lbs., and occasionally lift 76 to greater than 100 lbs.
• Willingness to work outdoors in changing temperatures.
• Ability to maintain a drug‑free workplace.
• Adherence to safety regulations and policies.
