DFA has an immediate opening for a dependable CDL-A delivery truck driver to operate a tractor-trailer safely and efficiently and manually unload/deliver various ice cream products to customer locations on an assigned route schedule.

This position is based out of our depot in McDonough, Georgia DFA is a farmer-owned brand of Dairy Farmers of America (DFA), a dairy marketing cooperative owned by more than 12,500 family farmers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 3 years related experience in food-service industry preferred.
• Valid Class-A CDL with a clean driving record.
• 21+ years of age.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
• Ability to push, pull and lift up to 55 pounds.
• Willing to work flexible hours, including overtime as required, occasional weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Operate a tractor-trailer safely to deliver ice cream products on assigned routes.
• Manually unload and deliver products to customer locations as scheduled.
• Be adaptable to varying route schedules and overnight layovers as needed.

COMPENSATION:

• $32.70 per hour
• Overtime applies after 40 hours
• Paid Weekly

SCHEDULE:

• The schedule for this opening will vary, depending on the route. Our drivers typically drive 1-2 routes in town and 1 route that requires a 2-night layover.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• 3 years related experience in food-service industry preferred (multiple stops, customer interaction, touch-freight)
• Valid Class-A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record
• 21+ years of age
• Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings including drug, background and criminal checks
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English
• Ability to push, pull and lift up to 55 pounds
• Willing to work flexible hours, including overtime as required, occasional weekends and holidays
