Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America (DFA) seeks a dependable CDL-A delivery truck driver to operate a tractor-trailer and unload/deliver ice cream products to customer locations on assigned routes. The role is based out of our depot in McDonough, Georgia, with varying schedules and occasional overnight routes.

Expect a friendly, customer-focused approach to meet needs with safety and efficiency. Compensation starts at $32.70 per hour with overtime after 40 hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 3 years related experience in food-service industry preferred.
• Valid Class-A CDL with a clean driving record.
• 21+ years of age and ability to pass pre-employment screenings.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer to deliver ice cream products to customer locations on assigned routes.
• Unload and deliver products manually as required and maintain route integrity.
• Build relationships with customers, ensure on-time delivery and safe driving.

DFA has an immediate job opening for a dependable CDL-A delivery truck driver to operate a tractor-trailer safely and efficiently and manually unload/deliver various ice cream products to customer locations on an assigned route schedule. This position is based out of our depot in McDonough, Georgia.

Our drivers build relationships with each customer using their positive, friendly attitude and become familiar with their operations to meet needs and expectations.

COMPENSATION:

• $32.70 per hour
• Overtime applies after 40 hours

SCHEDULE:

• The schedule for this opening will vary, depending on the route. Our drivers typically drive 1-2 routes in town and 1 route that requires a 2-night layover.

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• 3 years related experience in food-service industry preferred (multiple stops, customer interaction, touch-freight)
• Valid Class-A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record
• 21+ years of age
• Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings including drug, background and criminal checks
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English
• Ability to push, pull and lift up to 55 pounds
• Willing to work flexible hours, including overtime as required, occasional weekends and holidays
