Job Description

Class A CDL OTR High Mile Drivers

Climate Express has been moving full truckloads of freight across the United States for 29 years! Our 200 Company drivers keep families across America supplied with essential household goods. We use safe Volvo tractors equipped with the latest features, offering high miles, consistent paychecks, and solid home time. We are a team. We are strong. Together we can get things done.

Equipment

• 2022 or newer Volvo 760, automatic trucks
• Features include ergonomically designed seats, 70" L / 96" W sleepers, pull-out tabletop, larger refrigerators, auxiliary power units, dual antennas, flat screen TV mount, satellite radios, right way scales, Elite Pass for scales, tolls, bridges, on-site repair, and wash bay

Pay

Start pay of $0.55cpm - $0.58cpm, paid on practical miles whether loaded or empty. Additional pays include detention, layover, and other load-based compensations. Average weekly pay ranges from $2,600 to $3,200. Paid weekly via direct deposit with no hold.

Home Time

Drivers get 2 full days off after working 12-14 days within our operating area. Some drivers may stay out longer with additional days off. Home time is agreed upon prior to hiring and can be adjusted for special needs.

Loads & Routes

Most freight (98%) originates in MO, with over 55% being drop and hook. Loads are primarily dry van and reefer, mostly in the US middle corridor. No NY City, no force dispatch west of Denver, CO, and no ports or borders. Freight is mostly contracted, utilizing major highways, with no dedicated routes.

Rider & Pet Policies

• Riders: 1 passenger aged 12 or older, available from day 1
• Pets: $500 fee per pet, 2 small or 1 large dog, with weekly deductions until paid off. No policy for cats, reptiles, or birds.
