Class A CDL OTR High Mile Drivers

Climate Express has been moving full truckloads of freight across the United States for 29 years! Our 200 company drivers keep families supplied with essential household goods. We operate safe Volvo tractors with all the latest features, offering high miles, consistent paychecks, and solid home time. We are a team. We are strong. Together, we can get things done.

Equipment

- 2022 or newer Volvo 760, automatic trucks. Features include ergonomically designed seats, perfectly positioned steering, 70" L / 96" W sleepers, pull-out tabletop, larger-than-average built-in refrigerators, auxiliary power units with manual power inverter (3500W), dual antennas, flat screen TV mount, satellite radios. Trucks and trailers are equipped with right way scales and Elite Pass for scales, tolls, and bridges. On-site repair facilities and wash bays are available.

Pay

- Starting pay ranges from .55 to .58 cpm, paid on practical miles whether loaded or empty. Additional pays for detention, layover, and other factors are determined per load and driver hours. Average weekly pay ranges from $2,600 to $3,200, paid weekly via direct deposit with no hold.

Home Time

- Drivers typically get 2 full days off after working 12-14 days within our running area. Some areas may allow longer periods out and additional days off. Home time is agreed upon in writing prior to hiring and can accommodate special events and appointments.

Loads & Routes

- 98% of freight originates in Missouri. Over 55% is drop and hook; the rest involves 1 pick-1 drop loads. Freight is primarily dry van and reefer (climate-controlled), mostly on major US highways, avoiding New York City, ports, and borders. No dedicated routes; drivers run a mix of loads with contracted freight and pilot/fueling points.

Rider Policy

- One passenger aged 12 or older, available from day one.

Canine Policy

- $500 fee per pet; up to 2 small dogs or 1 large dog. Deduction of $100 weekly until paid off. Policy is non-refundable once the pet is placed in the truck. No policy for cats, reptiles, or birds.
