Class A CDL OTR High Mile Drivers

Climate Express has been moving full truckloads of freight across the United States for 29 years. Our 200 company drivers keep families supplied with essential household goods. We operate safe Volvo tractors equipped with modern features, offering high miles, consistent paychecks, and solid home time. We are a team, strong together, committed to getting things done.

Equipment

- 2022 or newer Volvo 760, automatic trucks. Features include ergonomic seats, perfect steering, 70" L / 96" W sleepers, pull-out tabletop, large refrigerators, auxiliary power units, dual antennas, flat screen TV mount, satellite radios, right way scales, Elite Pass for scales, tolls, and bridges, on-site maintenance, and truck/trailer wash bays.

Pay

- Starting pay: .55cpm - .58cpm. Paid loaded or empty on practical miles. Detention, layover, and additional pay vary by load and hours. Average weekly pay: $2,600 - $3,200. Paid weekly via direct deposit. Work this week, get paid next. No holds.

Home Time

- Drivers get 2 full days off after working 12-14 days within our area. Some may get additional drive-through days or longer stays with up to 4 days off. Home time is agreed upon prior to hiring and honored. Drivers should notify dispatch of home time needs. Special events and appointments can be accommodated with additional days.

Loads & Routes

- 98% of freight originates in MO. Over 55% is drop and hook; others are 1 pick-1 drop. Dry van (palletized) and reefer (climate-controlled) loads. Most freight is in the US middle corridor. No NY City, no force dispatch west of Denver, no ports or borders. Mostly contracted freight. No dedicated routes. Fueling at Pilot/Flying J stations.

Rider Policy

- 1 passenger 12 years or older, available from day 1.

Canine Policy

- $500 fee per pet. Up to 2 small dogs or 1 large dog. Deduction of $100/week until paid off. Policy non-refundable once the pet is in the truck. No policy for cats, reptiles, or birds.
