Class A CDL OTR High Mile Drivers

Climate Express has been moving full truckloads of freight across the United States for 29 years! Our 200 company drivers keep families supplied with essential household goods using safe Volvo tractors equipped with the latest features. We offer high miles, consistent paychecks, and solid home time. We are a team, strong and capable of getting things done.

Equipment

2022 or newer Volvo 760 automatic trucks, the safest on the road! Features include ergonomically designed seats, 70" L / 96" W sleepers, pull-out tabletop, large built-in refrigerators, auxiliary power units with a 3500W inverter, dual antennas, flat-screen TV mounts, satellite radios, right-way scales on trucks and trailers, Elite Pass for scales, tolls, and bridges. Maintenance is available on-site, along with a wash bay for trucks and trailers.

Pay

Start pay ranges from .55cpm to .58cpm, paid on practical miles whether loaded or empty. Additional pays for detention, layover, and other factors are determined per load and hours. Average weekly pay is between $2,600 and $3,200, paid weekly via direct deposit. Work one week, get paid the next — no holds.

Home Time

Drivers typically get 2 full days off after working 12-14 days within our area. Some may stay out longer and receive up to 4 days off, with prior written agreement. We aim to accommodate personal needs and special events when possible. Although days off are not accrued weekly, we try to meet driver requests for additional days off.

Loads & Routes

Most freight (98%) originates in Missouri, with over 55% being drop-and-hook. The rest involves 1 pick-1 drop loads. We operate dry van (palletized) and reefer (climate-controlled) loads, avoiding slaughterhouses and ports. Routes are mainly in the US middle corridor, with no NY City or west of Denver CO. No dedicated routes; freight is mostly contracted, using major highways and Pilot/Flying J fueling points.

Rider & Canine Policies

One passenger aged 12 or older is allowed from day one. Pets are permitted for a $500 fee; up to 2 small dogs or 1 large dog, with a $100 weekly deduction until paid off. The policy is non-refundable once the pet is in the truck. No policies are available for cats, reptiles, or birds.
