Job Description

Class A CDL OTR High Mile Drivers

Climate Express has been moving full truckloads of freight across the United States for 29 years! 200 Company drivers keep families across America supplied with essential household goods. Safe Volvo tractors with all the bells and whistles on them. High miles, consistent paychecks, and solid home time. We are a team. We are strong. Together we can get things done.

Equipment

• 2022 or newer Volvo 760, automatic trucks. The safest trucks on the road with ergonomically designed seats, 70" L / 96" W sleepers, pull-out tabletop, larger refrigerators, Auxiliary power units, Dual antennas, Flat screen TV mount, satellite radios, right way scales, Elite Pass for scales, tolls, and bridges, onsite repair, wash bay.

Pay

Start pay: .55cpm - .58cpm, paid loaded or empty on practical miles. Detention, layover, and additional pay vary by load and hours. Average weekly pay: $2,600 - $3,200. Paid weekly via direct deposit. Work this week, get paid next. No hold.

Home Time

Drivers get 2 full days off after 12-14 days out in our area. Some may get additional days or longer periods based on location. Home time is agreed upon in writing before hiring. Flexibility is available for events and appointments.

Loads & Routes

98% of freight originates in MO. Over 55% is drop and hook. The rest is 1 pick-1 drop, dry van or reefer, mostly in the US middle corridor. No NY City, no force dispatch west of Denver, no ports or borders. Mostly highway freight, no dedicated routes. Fueling at Pilot/Flying J.

Rider Policy

One passenger, 12 years or older, available from day 1.

Canine Policy

$500 fee per pet. Up to 2 small or 1 large dog. Deduction of $100/week until paid. No refunds once pet is in truck. No policy for cats, reptiles, or birds.

Requirements

1 year recent tractor and trailer experience, no more than 3 moving violations in 3 years. Veterans and women encouraged to apply. Second chance employer.
