Class A CDL OTR High Mile Drivers

Climate Express has been moving full truckloads of freight across the United States for 29 years! Our 200 company drivers keep families supplied with essential household goods. We operate safe Volvo tractors with all the latest features, offering high miles, consistent paychecks, and solid home time. We are a team. We are strong. Together, we can get things done.

Equipment

- 2022 or newer Volvo 760, automatic trucks. Features include ergonomically designed seats, perfect steering positioning, 70" L / 96" W sleepers, pull-out tabletop, larger built-in refrigerators, auxiliary power units with 3500W inverter, dual antennas, flat screen TV mount, satellite radios, right way scales, Elite Pass for scales, tolls, and bridges. On-site maintenance and wash bay facilities are available.

Pay

- Starting pay ranges from .55cpm to .58cpm, paid on practical miles whether loaded or empty. Additional compensation for detention, layovers, and other factors. Average weekly pay is between $2,600 and $3,200, paid weekly via direct deposit. Drivers are paid for work completed the previous week.

Home Time

- Drivers typically get 2 full days off after working 12-14 days within our operating area. Some may have longer periods out and additional days off, with prior written agreement. Home time needs should be communicated to dispatch. We aim to accommodate special events and appointments whenever possible.

Loads & Routes

- 98% of freight originates in Missouri, with over 55% being drop and hook. The rest involves 1 pick-1 drop loads. We operate dry van and reefer trailers, mostly in the US middle corridor, avoiding NYC, ports, borders, and west of Denver. Most freight is contracted, and drivers run a combination of load types. No dedicated routes, with fueling at Pilot/Flying J stations.

Rider & Canine Policies

- Riders: 1 passenger age 12 or older, available from day 1.

- Canine: $500 fee per pet, with a deduction of $100 weekly until paid. Up to 2 small or 1 large dog. No policy for cats, reptiles, or birds.
