Class A CDL OTR High Mile Drivers

Climate Express has been moving full truckloads of freight across the United States for 29 years! We have 200 company drivers who keep families across America supplied with essential household goods. Our fleet consists of safe Volvo tractors equipped with all the latest features, offering high miles, consistent paychecks, and solid home time. We are a team. We are strong. Equipment

2022 or newer Volvo 760, automatic trucks. Features include ergonomically designed seats, position-perfect steering, 70" L / 96" W sleepers, pull-out tabletop, larger refrigerators, auxiliary power units with built-in manual power inverter (3500W), dual antennas, flat screen TV mount, satellite radios, right way scales on trucks and trailers, Elite Pass for scales, tolls, and bridges, on-site repair facility, and wash bay.

Pay

Starting pay ranges from .55 to .58 cents per mile, paid on practical miles whether loaded or empty. Additional pays include detention, layover, and other load-specific compensations. Average weekly pay is between $2,600 and $3,200, paid weekly via direct deposit. You get paid for work completed the week prior, with no hold.

Home Time

Drivers typically get 2 full days off after working 12-14 days in our area. Some drivers may stay out longer and receive up to 4 days off. Home time is agreed upon prior to hiring and honored accordingly. Requests for home time should be communicated to dispatch. We aim to accommodate special events and appointments when possible.

Loads & Routes

98% of freight originates in Missouri. Over 55% is drop and hook; the rest involves 1 pick-1 drop loads. We primarily haul dry van and reefer (climate-controlled) freight, mostly in the US middle corridor. No NY City, no force dispatch west of Denver, CO, and no ports or borders. Most freight is on major highways, with a mix of contracted dry van and reefer loads. No dedicated routes; fueling at Pilot/Flying J stations.

Rider & Canine Policies

One passenger aged 12 or older is allowed, available from day one. Pets are permitted with a $500 fee per pet (up to 2 small or 1 large dog). The fee is deducted at $100 weekly until paid, and the policy is non-refundable once the pet is in the truck. Pets can be changed; no policy for cats, reptiles, or birds.
