MasTec Communications Group seeks a Skilled Laborer/Groundman to support all phases of utility construction for telecom projects. You will perform manual tasks, work outdoors, and help build aerial and underground cable systems, while upholding a strong safety culture and quality standards.

Responsibilities include trenching, material handling, equipment transport, and troubleshooting in varied field conditions.

• Work in outdoor utility construction sites
• Transport heavy equipment to and from the job site each day
• Build and maintain aerial and underground cable systems
• Troubleshoot problems as they arise in the field
• Learn and train to use various kinds of tools and equipment

Compensation of $28-$32 per hour, based on experience.

Additional details

• Overtime pay will be provided in accordance with California labor laws, at 1.5 times the regular hourly rate for hours worked over 8 hours in a day or 40 hours in a workweek
• Rest and Meal Breaks will be compensated for paid rest periods and granted unpaid meal breaks in accordance with California labor laws
• Your employment with MasTec is at‑will, meaning either you or the company may terminate the employment relationship at any time, with or without cause or notice
