Job summary

Northwest Corp. is seeking a Class A CDL driver with a strong focus on rigging to actively participate on job sites, set up lifts, and signal while collaborating with crane operators and logistics teams for safe, efficient operations.

You will operate a Class A vehicle, assist with rigging and site setup, perform vehicle inspections, and ensure compliance with DOT and safety standards. Based in Sioux Falls, SD, this role offers full-time hours and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Rigging experience or strong drive to learn.
• Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
• Air Brake Endorsement.
• Proven experience as a CDL driver (construction or logistics preferred).
• Knowledge of load securement and material handling.
• Ability to perform physical, hands-on work in varying weather conditions.
• Strong understanding of transportation safety regulations.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Vehicle Operation: Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle and trailer, transport crane equipment, rigging gear, and materials to and from job sites, ensure loads are secured and delivered on time.
• Rigging & Jobsite Support: Assist with loading, unloading, staging, and setup of crane and rigging equipment; work with drivers, riggers, signalmen, and crane operators during mobilization/demobilization.
• Inspections & Maintenance: Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, identify and report vehicle or equipment issues, maintain vehicle condition per safety standards.
• Regulations & Compliance: Follow DOT, federal, state, and local regulations; maintain delivery records and documentation.
• Communication & Customer Service: Communicate effectively with field crews, logistics teams, clients, and vendors; represent Northwest Corp professionally on job sites.
