Blackwood Solutions is seeking a Class A CDL Driver to join our Indianapolis-based logistics team. The Support Driver will help with deliveries, maintain logs, and support storm response deployments while staying out up to two weeks as needed.

This role emphasizes safety, reliability, and clear communication with dispatch. Home time every other weekend is typical, with overnight travel during major projects.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL A with a clean and verifiable driving record.
• Ability to lift, load, and transport materials as required (up to company-specified weight limits).
• Must reside in the Mid-West area.
• Strong reliability, communication skills, and commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles safely and efficiently to support logistics, deliveries, and field operations.
• Assist with transportation of materials, equipment, and supplies to designated project sites.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, mileage reports, and compliance documentation.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, managers, and team members regarding route planning, delays, or operational updates.
• Support emergency or high-volume operations, including storm response deployments.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicles remain in safe working condition.
• Follow all federal, state, and company safety requirements, policies, and best practices.
• Represent Blackwood Solutions with professionalism during all customer and team interactions.
• Regular schedule offers home time every other weekend.
• Flexibility is essential, as schedules may shift based on storm activity, workload, or emergency deployments.
• Overnight travel should be expected during major project periods or weather-related mobilizations.
