Job summary

Blackwood Solutions Evansville is seeking a Class A CDL Driver to support logistics, deliveries, and field operations across multiple regions. The role requires a safe driving record and the ability to stay out for up to two weeks during storm responses.

You will travel, perform pre-trip/post-trip inspections, and maintain thorough logs while fitting into a schedule that includes every other weekend home time. Candidates must reside in the Mid-West and hold a valid CDL A.

Qualifications

• Must reside in the Mid-West area.
• Valid CDL A with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift, load and transport materials as required.

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles safely and efficiently to support logistics, deliveries, and field operations.
• Assist with transportation of materials, equipment, and supplies to designated project sites.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, mileage reports, and compliance documentation.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, managers, and team members regarding route planning, delays, or operational updates.
• Support emergency or high-volume operations, including storm response deployments.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicles remain in safe working condition.
• Follow all federal, state, and company safety requirements, policies, and best practices.
• Represent Blackwood Solutions with professionalism during all customer and team interactions.
• Regular schedule offers home time every other weekend.
• Flexibility is essential, as schedules may shift based on storm activity, workload, or emergency deployments.
• Overnight travel should be expected during major project periods or weather-related mobilizations.
