Job Description

Drives vehicle transporting materials and equipment to specific construction job sites. This position must comply with all state and federal regulations. The delivery driver reports directly to the VP of Engineering & Operations.

Note: This position may require 3+ overnight stays per week. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Responsibilities
  1. Verifies and secures loads.
  2. Inspects vehicle for defects before and after trips and submits reports indicating vehicle condition.
  3. Drives vehicle to assigned destinations.
  4. Assists workers in unloading and loading trucks when required.
  5. Maintains truck logs according to state and federal regulations, including ELD.
  6. Performs emergency roadside repairs such as changing tires, installing light bulbs, fuses, etc.
  7. Maintains cleanliness of the vehicle.
  8. Conveys materials from receiving to storage or other designated areas.
  9. Sorts and places materials on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequences.
  10. Fills work orders or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items.
  11. Maintains inventory records.
  12. Must acquire and maintain a DOT medical card and a Class A CDL.
  13. Maintains cleanliness of shop, warehouse, storage yard, parking lot, and/or offices as needed.
  14. Utilizes tow-behind trailers for deliveries and pickups.
  15. Delivers and picks up permit applications, permits, and approved drawings.
Qualifications

Education / Work Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 3+ years of delivery driving or related experience required.
  • Vocational or trade school is a plus.
  • Possession of a current DOT Medical Card required.
  • Class A CDL required.
  • Valid driver’s license with a driving record that meets or exceeds company standards.
  • Previous forklift operation experience required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs required.
