Job summary

Interstate Moving | Relocation | Logistics in Sterling, VA seeks a CDL Class A Mover/Driver to supervise the company vehicle and oversee loading and unloading of materials, furniture, and office equipment. You will assist the crew, perform pre-trip inspections, and drive to job sites, ensuring safe handling and accurate inventory records.

The role requires physical strength, a valid Class A CDL, and the ability to pass background and drug tests.

Qualifications

• Prior professional driving experience. Lyft and Uber do not count.
• Good communication skills.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check and the drug test.
• Physically able to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms; additionally stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb and balance.
• Frequently lift more than 75 pounds and up to 250 pounds with assistance and proper equipment.
• Valid Class A CDL license.
• Must have a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assists in any capacity as directed by the crew leader on the assigned job or warehouse.
• Performs pre-trip inspection of the truck assigned for noted damages, tires, and travelworthiness.
• Drives the vehicle from the warehouse to the jobsite.
• Assists in loading and unloading the vehicle as required.
• Provides leadership and organization to the crew so assigned work can be completed efficiently.
• Writes legible inventory reports of delivery goods.
