Job summary

Dircks Moving & Logistics is seeking a Driver who will act as crew leader, direct loading of furniture, drive the truck to destinations, and unload contents. The role involves hands-on loading, careful route planning, and ensuring safe deliveries.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license, and ability to pass a DOT physical with a clean MVR. Knowledge of basic office software and strong customer interactions are a plus.

Qualifications

• High School or GED; or 3–6 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must possess a valid Driver's License, maintain a passing DOT physical and maintain a clean MVR per Dircks insurance carrier guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Drive commercial vehicles (Class D) and operate a range of trucks.
• Load and unload goods using equipment like pallet jacks, forklifts, or hand trucks.
• Transport goods regionally or locally as needed by the company.
• Plan routes to optimize deliveries and fuel efficiency.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance checks and pre-trip inspections.
• Keep accurate records of deliveries, inventories, weight tickets, logs, and incidents.
