We’re hiring experienced CDL A Delivery Drivers.

Shift & Location

Shift: Daily dispatch varies, typically between 8 pm-9 pm, home every day.

Location: Jessup, MD.

Delivery Driver Qualifications

• Drivers must be 21 years of age.
• Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience in the last 3 years.
• No more than 12 months unemployed in the last 5 years.
• Current drivers’ license and DOT medical card.
• No CDL accidents or major violations in the last 36 months.
• No DUI in the last 5 years.
• No more than 3 jobs in the last 5 years.
• Experience with regular lifting in the last 3 years.
• Ability to work overnight, including Friday and Sunday nights.
• Successfully pass a road test in a Food Authority truck prior to employment.

Preferred Driver Requirements

• Experience delivering from a liftgate.
• At least 1 year of material handling equipment experience.
• Experience working overnight shifts.

Driver Responsibilities

• Ensure shipment of temperature-controlled and undamaged products, proper count at customer locations, and FIFO inventory management.
• Manage Driver Apprentice/Helper.
• Drive vehicles to designated destinations, safely and within deadlines.
• Load and unload products, put away per customer specifications.
• Maintain driving logs, vehicle performance forms, and complete daily reports.
• Follow DOT regulations and safety standards.
• Follow scheduled routes for deliveries.
• Organize and deliver all paperwork properly.
• Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 25/50/80 pounds regularly.
• Respond quickly to sounds.
• Move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces.
• See and respond to dangerous situations, including night driving.
