Job summary

Norfolk Iron & Metal is seeking a drivers to deliver products to customer locations using our trucks. You will secure loads per DOT and load securement policies, assist loaders, and ensure safe handling at each stop.

The role requires driving safely, following DVIR and DOT regulations, and maintaining a positive, team-oriented attitude. We offer a strong benefits package and opportunities for bonuses.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A license with a clean safety record.
• Ability to follow DOT regulations and load securement policies.

Responsibilities

• Secure loads per DOT and load securement policies.
• Assist truck loaders to ensure safe loading.
• Deliver products to customer locations using company trucks.
• Assist in loading/unloading material at stops.
• Adhere to safety precautions during weather events.
• Follow DOT rules for DVIR, weights, and driving.
• Wear required PPE and complete paperwork promptly.

What your title will be:

Driver

Here are some things you'll be doing:

• Securing your loads in regards with DOT and Load Securement Policies
• Assist truck loaders to ensure your load is safe and loaded properly
• Deliver our product to customer locations using our trucks
• Assist in loading and unloading material at each stop
• Take safety precautions when weather is expected
• Follow DOT rules for weighing the truck, completing DVIR for pre and post trips, and driving
• Wearing appropriate PPE (personal protective equipment)
• Ensuring that all required paperwork is completed in a timely manner
