Job summary

Kane Realty Corporation seeks a Building Engineer to manage daily operations and maintenance of a Class A office building. You will ensure all building systems function reliably, perform preventive maintenance, and coordinate with contractors while upholding safety and exceptional service standards.

The role requires after-hours work, weekend and on-call rotations, and the ability to use various tools and systems to sustain performance of the property and related assets.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of building systems and components; able to operate, maintain, and facilitate repairs.
• Experience with mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry and related trades.
• Experience using power tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operation and maintenance of all building systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance on building systems.
• Conduct inspections of buildings and grounds including common areas.
• Prioritize service calls and follow up on completion.
• Understand and comply with safety policies.
• Receive, execute and complete work orders; coordinate with contractors and technicians.
• Assist in annual and capital budgeting with the Property Manager.
• Respond to emergencies and after-hours as required.
