Job summary

Billor Holding is seeking a qualified Class 8 Truck & Trailer Inspector to perform comprehensive safety and mechanical inspections across our heavy-duty fleet. You will verify structural and operational integrity to ensure compliance with DOT/FMCSA standards.

Responsibilities include pre-trip and periodic inspections, trailer specialization (flatbeds, dry vans, reefers), and detailed reporting. 2+ years of hands-on inspection experience and a related technical degree are required; CDL Class A is

Qualifications

Current DOT certified Inspector / Annual Vehicle Inspector Certification.
Minimum 2+ years of hands-on mechanical or inspection experience with Class 8 trucks and trailers.
Strong knowledge of FMCSA and DOT safety standards.
Familiarity with reefer unit functionality and trailer components.

Responsibilities

Perform pre-trip, periodic, and preventive inspections on Class 8 tractors and trailers.
Verify deck integrity, tie-downs, and structural frames for flatbeds.
Inspect dry vans, reefer trailers, and associated cargo securing components.
Document inspection results, generate defect reports, and sign DOT/FMCSA logs.
Coordinate with fleet operations to prioritize repairs and re-inspect after maintenance.
