Job summary

Olé Mexican Foods, Inc. is looking for a meticulous Trailer Inspector to ensure safety and compliance across our transportation fleet in the United States.

You will conduct thorough inspections of trailers, document findings, and coordinate necessary repairs to meet federal and state standards before deployment. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma and experience in trailer inspection or related fields, along with familiarity with FMCSA rules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in vehicle or trailer inspection, maintenance, or related field.
• Knowledge of FMCSA regulations.
• Ability to identify mechanical and structural issues in trailers.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed inspections of trailers including brakes, tires, lights, suspension, and structural components to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Identify and document defects or maintenance needs, providing clear and accurate reports to maintenance teams and management.
• Verify that trailers meet all applicable federal and state safety standards and regulations prior to deployment.
• Coordinate with maintenance personnel to prioritize and schedule necessary repairs or servicing based on inspection findings.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs and compliance documentation for audit and reporting purposes.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, maintenance teams, and management to ensure timely resolution of trailer issues.
• Stay updated on industry regulations, safety standards, and best practices related to trailer inspection and maintenance.
