You will manage service truck stock, generate accurate work orders, and coordinate with vendors for parts. A valid driver's license and hands-on welding skills are required, with a strong focus on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience repairing Commercial Class 8 trailers.
• Experience in annual federal inspections and brake inspections.
• Valid Driver's License with clean driving record and no suspensions.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
• Comfortable with computers for billing and work orders.
• Follows verbal and written work orders to stay on track.
• Capable of explaining a diagnosis over the phone.
• Self-motivated with strong organization and planning.
• Experience with stick welding.
• Own tools.
• Certifications such as EPA 608/609/Universal and ASE are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, inspect, and repair Class 8 trailers.
• Perform trailer patchwork and minor structural repairs.
• Carry out preventive maintenance and DOT inspections; service parts like tires, hubs, and axles.
• Write work orders and manage repair orders on a mobile device and in-yard.
• Test systems for performance and ensure DOT compliance.
• Manage service truck inventory and source parts from local vendors.
• Complete inspection reports and DOT documentation accurately and on time.
• Provide strong customer service and report findings to management.
