Job summary

Rush Enterprises Inc. is seeking a Body Shop Technician in Indianapolis to restore Class 8 diesel equipment to pre-accident condition, following factory and dealership specs.

You will repair or replace body components, perform tear-downs, and ensure quality checks are completed before moving to paint and detail. The role requires three years of body shop experience, an ICAR Welding Certificate, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Three years’ body shop experience.
• ICAR Welding Certificate.
• Valid driver’s license and insurability.

Responsibilities

• Review repairs and notes to understand work before starting on Class 8 diesel equipment.
• Perform repairs according to the repair order and supplier specs.
• Use frame and measuring equipment per vendor specs.
• Complete teardown, identify parts, and perform repair procedures per factory specs and I-CAR standards.
• Sign off on quality checks before sending equipment to paint and detail departments.
• Mentor apprentices or less skilled technicians to develop repair skills.
