Job summary

Rush-Enterprises in Pico Rivera, CA, is seeking a Body Shop Technician to restore Class 8 diesel equipment to pre-accident conditions in line with factory specs. You will repair or replace damaged components, review repair orders, and ensure all work follows documentation and quality standards.

Ideal candidates have at least 3 years of body shop experience, an ICAR Welding Certificate, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver's license with insurability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 3 years body shop experience.
• ICAR Welding Certificate required.
• Valid driver's license and insurability required.

Responsibilities

• Review repair orders, work orders and notes to understand repairs needed.
• Complete repairs per documentation on repair orders or supplements.
• Knowledge of manufacturers and technical repair process.
• Use frame and measuring equipment per vendor specifications.
• Perform initial teardown of Class 8 diesel equipment.
• Identify parts for cut-in and edging.
• Perform repairs according to factory specs and I-Car Standard.
• Perform and sign-off on quality checks before painting.
• Re-assemble painted equipment and parts.
• Perform final quality check before detail department.
• Collaborate with apprentices or lesser skilled technicians.
