Job summary

Imerys is seeking a reliable Class 2 HGV Driver to operate a rigid tipper from the Furzebrook site, transporting quarry materials safely to processing and storage locations. You will perform pre-use checks, maintain compliance with tachographs and hours regulations, and support shipping operations to Poole Quay as needed.

The role requires at least 1 year of HGV Class 2 experience, CPC qualification, and good communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience driving HGV Class 2 vehicles.
• Strong understanding of Drivers' Hours Regulations, Tachographs, and the Working Time Directive.
• Commitment to health and safety standards.
• Good communication and independent working ability.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Class 2 LGV rigid tipper vehicle between quarry, processing plant and delivery locations.
• Conduct pre-use vehicle inspections and report defects promptly.
• Transport materials to tipping bays and, when required, to dockside or Poole Quay storage.
• Maintain compliance with Driving Regulations and tachograph rules, including weekly data submission.
• Attend Driver CPC training and keep qualifications up to date.
• Keep vehicle clean and well-maintained; ensure safe, roadworthy condition at all times.
• Complete documentation accurately and interact professionally with customers and site staff.
