Job summary

Hales Group Ltd is currently seeking HGV Drivers to join our client based in Woodbridge. The role involves driving LGV Class 2 refuse collection vehicles and delivering waste management services across local routes.

You will work primarily Tuesday to Friday, 6:00am–4:45pm, 40 hours per week with options for extra days. £16.90 per hour, temporary ongoing (minimum 3 months). Immediate start.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Digital Tachograph Card / Smart Card.
• LGV Class 2 (Category C Licence).
• Valid Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).
• Physically and medically fit to carry out the duties in line with licence conditions.

Responsibilities

• Driving LGV Class 2 refuse collection vehicles across Lowestoft and surrounding areas. You must be confident reversing and manoeuvring safely in narrow streets and residential locations.
• Operating bin-lift mechanisms efficiently and safely.
• Loading bulky waste and carrying out special collections when required.
• Completing daily routes as effectively as possible while following all health & safety procedures to protect the crew and members of the public.

Job description

Hales Group are currently seeking HGV Drivers to join our client based in Woodbridge. We are looking for individuals to undertake driving duties across waste management roles and functions, in line with local service requirements.

Main Duties of HGV Driver Include:

• Driving LGV Class 2 refuse collection vehicles across Lowestoft and surrounding areas. You must be confident reversing and manoeuvring safely in narrow streets and residential locations.
• Operating bin-lift mechanisms efficiently and safely.
• Loading bulky waste and carrying out special collections when required.
• Completing daily routes as effectively as possible while following all health & safety procedures to protect the crew and members of the public.

To be considered for the role of HGV Driver:

• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Digital Tachograph Card / Smart Card.
• LGV Class 2 (Category C Licence).
• Valid Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).
• Physically and medically fit to carry out the duties in line with licence conditions.

Working Hours & Pattern:

• Primarily Tuesday to Friday, 6:00am - 4:45pm
• 10-hour shifts with a 45-minute break
• Full-time (40 hours per week) - Part Time will be considered
• Opportunity to work additional days on Mondays and Saturdays (trade waste and catch-up rounds)
• Part-time drivers will be considered; however, shifts will remain 10 hours per day across fewer days
