Job summary

Deutsche Post DHL Group - DHL Supply Chain in Allington, Kent is seeking a Class 2 HGV Driver to help us keep goods moving safely and on time. A 48-hour week, permanent full-time, with a 3-week rota (4 on 2 off; 5 on 2 off) and early start is provided.

You will deliver bulky items with a Driver Mate to homes around Kent, Surrey and South London, uphold safety standards, and complete basic vehicle checks as part of a team dedicated to customer service and reliability.

Qualifications

• Face to face customer service skills.
• Hold a valid HGV 2 license (C) and Driver CPC.
• Willing to complete a Basic DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Deliver bulky items to customers with Driver Mate.
• Deliveries around Kent, Surrey and South London.
• Drive safely and in line with legal regulations.
• Complete vehicle checks regularly.

Grade: RCS grade P
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time) 48 hours per week
Shift patterns: 3 week rota - 4 on 2 off, 4 on 2 off, 5 on 2 off 5.30am start time

We're now looking for a Class 2 HGV Driver to play a key role ensuring our operations run smoothly and efficiently, delivering goods safely and on time. We are happy to consider newly qualified drivers

A TYPICAL DAY WILL INVOLVE

• Delivering bulky items to customers homes such as beds, mattresses, wardrobes etc alongside a Drivers Mate
• Deliveries will be in and around , Kent, Surrey and South London
• Driving in a safe and efficient manner in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations
• Complying with our health and safety standards at all times, ensuring adherence to The Highway Code, road safety rules and vehicle regulations
• Regular completion of vehicle checks

THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO

• Hold a valid HGV 2 Driving License (C), Driver CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card
• Have no more than 6 points on driving license
• Have experience of home delivery
• Have face to face customer service skills
• Are willing to complete a Basic DBS check (Funded by DHL)
