Job summary

GXO is recruiting for a C+E Class 1 Tanker Driver to join our Hope Valley depot, delivering cement for a manufacturing and construction customer. The role is full-time and permanent, with early starts between 04:00 and 06:00, and paid breaks. Training is provided for powder tanker deliveries and CPC compliance.

You will operate safe, legal tanker movements, complete required paperwork, and maintain excellent communication with the transport office to ensure reliable service.

Qualifications

• Previous experience driving Class 1 vehicles is essential.
• Full UK driving licence with category C+E entitlement.
• Valid Driver Qualification and Digital Tachograph Cards.
• No more than 6 current penalty points.

Responsibilities

• Single drop deliveries (typically between 2 and 3 per shift) from our Hope Valley depot to manufacturing and construction industry customers
• Load and discharge powder products (predominantly cement) under pressure from tanker to silo
• Maintain clear communication with the transport office regarding any issues and provide exceptional service to our customers
• Operate company vehicles in a safe, legal, and efficient manner while ensuring required documents are completed accurately and on time
