Job summary

Pratt Industries in Valparaiso, Indiana is hiring a Clamp Truck Operator starting at $19.25 per hour. You will safely operate the clamp truck, move rolls to the corrugator, inspect equipment, and keep a clean, organized warehouse. No prior paper or packaging experience is required, and training/licensing will be provided.

Reports to Corrugator Supervisor/Leadman. Valid Lift Truck/Clamp Truck Operator License is required (training provided). High school diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• No prior paper/packaging experience required.

Responsibilities

• Move rolls to the corrugator and record all rolls taken.
• Learn to read corrugator lineups.
• Mark buttrolls by size, diameter, lineal footage, and grade.
• Unload rolls from trailers/rail cars and note damage.
• Operate the clamp truck safely.
• Complete shift clamp truck inspections and maintenance requests.
• Keep warehouse organized and clean.
• Assist the corrugator operator as instructed.
