Job summary

Lakeside Book Company is seeking a Forklift Driver at our Harrisonburg, VA facilities to help move finished goods and support our production flow. The role requires rotating 12-hour shifts (6am-6pm and 6pm-6am) at 2347 Kratzer Rd or 1025 Willow Springs Rd in Harrisonburg, with a starting rate of $21.00 per hour.

Prior forklift experience, clamp forklift familiarity, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds are expected.

Qualifications

• Previous forklift experience, standup and sit down.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand or sit for the entire duration of your shift.
• Previous clamp forklift experience a plus.
• Experience with scanning and inventory systems is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Operate Clamp Forklift equipment, to move large rolls of paper.
• Scan containers to ensure system accuracy.
• Inspect your forklift on a daily basis and service the batteries.
• Process departmental paperwork.
• Use a computer to utilize the internal company COMN system for job information.
