Job summary

Lakeside Book Company in Harrisonburg, VA is seeking a Forklift Driver to move finished products from the plant to loading areas and support distribution nationwide. This full-time, rotating 12-hour shift position offers a starting rate of $21.00 per hour, with work at two Harrisonburg locations: 2347 Kratzer Rd and 1025 Willow Springs Rd.

Ideal candidates will have forklift experience (standup or sit-down), be able to lift up to 50 pounds, and perform well in a fast-paced manufacturing

Qualifications

Job description

We are looking for a Forklift Driver to join our team at Lakeside Book Company. As the largest bookmaker in the United States, you will help move the finished product out the door and into the hands of readers across the country.

Starting Rate: $21.00
Hours: 12-hour shifts | Rotating Shift (6am-6pm for 2 weeks and 6pm-6am for two weeks)
Location: 2347 Kratzer Rd; Harrisonburg, VA 22802 and 1025 Willow Springs Rd; Harrisonburg, VA 22801

As a Forklift Operator, you will:

• Operate Clamp Forklift equipment, to move large rolls of paper
• Scan containers to ensure system accuracy
• Inspectyour forklift on a daily basis and service the batteries
• Process departmental paperwork
• Use a computer to utilize the internal company COMN system for job information

Qualifications:

• Previous forklift experience, standup and sit down
• Ability tolift up to 50 pounds
• Ability tostand or sit for the entire duration of your shift
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Previous clamp forklift experience a plus
