Responsibilities

• Learn the fundamentals of the auto insurance claim process from First Notice of Loss through claim resolution.
• Assist claims professionals with day-to-day assignments and claim-related activities.
• Communicate with customers, claimants, repair facilities, legal professionals, medical providers, and other parties to gather information needed to resolve claims.
• Document facts and details surrounding losses accurately and thoroughly.
• Learn how to review insurance policies and identify applicable coverages.
• Develop an understanding of vehicle damage, repair procedures, and determining whether a vehicle is repairable or a total loss.
• Identify and communicate potential claim concerns or red flags to experienced claims professionals and team leaders.
• Perform analytical work and assist with projects that support the Claims Department.
• Develop an understanding of how Claims interacts with Underwriting, Customer Service, Legal, and other areas of the organization.
• Participate in ongoing classroom, virtual, and hands-on training.
• Maintain a high level of customer service and professionalism in every interaction.
• Meet established productivity, quality, and claim cycle-time standards.
• Perform other related duties and special projects assigned.

About the Claims Trainee Program

CURE’s Claims Trainee Program provides an opportunity to build a strong foundation in the insurance industry while gaining hands-on experience across the Claims Department.

As a Claims Trainee, you will participate in a structured training program designed to introduce you to the fundamentals of auto claims, customer service, coverage, vehicle damage, and claim investigation. You will work alongside experienced claims professionals while developing the knowledge, judgment, and communication skills needed to advance your career in insurance.

This is an ideal opportunity for a motivated recent graduate who enjoys solving problems, working with people, analyzing information, and taking on new challenges.

What You’ll Do

As you progress through the program, you will:

Physical Actions/Environment

Required job duties consist of prompt and regular attendance, ability to frequently move about the office to coordinate work with others; standing, sitting and typing for extended periods; and lifting and/or carrying up to 5 lbs. Ability to frequently communicate with others in-person, on the phone/virtually, and in writing. Ability to read, understand, process and evaluate large amounts of technical information and make related, informed decisions.

Salary: $50,000 - $70,000 annually based on experience

Schedule

We offer flexible work hours between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, with options like 8–4, 8:30–4:30, or 9–5. We do our best to support individual preferences, though schedules may be adjusted as needed to ensure strong coverage and teamwork.

We also offer a hybrid schedule: team members work onsite four days a week and can work remotely one day a week.
