Markel is seeking a Claims Technician in Richmond, VA to support case management and the claims process with moderate guidance. You will handle First Notice of Loss requests, route and archive communications, and uphold Markel's Service Standards while collaborating with the Claims team.

The Claims Technician, with moderate guidance, is responsible for initiating, directing, and controlling the activity in support of case management and the claims process in accordance with the Markel Service Standards. The Claims Technician may be called upon to assist the Claims organization with other responsibilities as requested by management. Unless otherwise indicated, all items included in the Outcome Statements are measured by Supervisor’s/Manager’s observations, quantity of work completed, external and internal feedback and Audits.

The hourly rate offered for the successful candidate will be based on compensable factors such as job-relevant education, job-relevant experience, training, licensure, demonstrated competencies, geographic location, and other factors. The national average hourly range for the Claims Technician is $19.69/hr- $27.08/hr with 5% incentive.
